5 Stages of sleep.
NREM

Stage 1
10 minutes
Body relaxes.
Brain waves slow down.

Stage 3: 10 – 20 min. Low voltage waves
every few seconds.
Stage 4 – DEEP SLEEP
Large regular Delta waves.
State of oblivion.

Pauses in breathing while asleep (pause can
be up 5 seconds to several minutes)
Person is unaware of disturbed sleep
