Patrick Rooney Will Brand Steven Marchette Ramsey Arnaoot What • Site to help people with somewhat “alternative” interests network (although could easily be used by those with more common interests) • Allows for users to post planned events so that others of similar interests may join the poster 25 April 2003 CS 200 Spring 2003 14 Why • Help spread interest in lesser known interests and give a forum for the participants in those activities (again, site can be used universally, it is just easier to call a group of friends for a football game) • Doing things alone is (obviously!) much less fun than with a group which enjoys the same interests as you 25 April 2003 CS 200 Spring 2003 15 How • Users post the event with the date, details, etc. • Other users can then view upcoming events and RSVP if they plan on attending • Also: when the Poster selects a category (or categories) for the event, an email is automatically generated to other users who have selected that category as one of their interests. 25 April 2003 CS 200 Spring 2003 16 Walkthrough To the Adventure!!!
