Cobb 6th Grade Campus
2015-2016 Parent - Teacher Title I Compact
At Cobb 6th Grade Campus, we are committed to providing the best education possible for each of our students. We believe that
this can happen only when we work together as a caring community of parents and educational staff. This compact was designed
by a representative body of parents, students, and staff to help all of us achieve this goal.
As a parent/guardian of a
Cobb 6th grade student,
I will:
*Keep an open mind when trying to
resolve teacher-student conflicts.
*Spend time with my child every day
- reading, writing, listening or just
talking.
*Make sure my child attends school
every day, on time and prepared to
learn.
*Help my child resolve conflicts in a
positive way.
*Keep the lines of communication
open between home and school.
*Provide a quiet place at a specific
time for my child to do homework.
*Become an active partner in my
child's learning by attending school
functions, parent-teacher conferences,
and as my schedule allows, activities
during the school day.
*Show support for my child and the
school staff and respect individual
differences.
As a Cobb 6th grader,
I will:
*Come to school unless I have a
good reason.
*Get school and homework done.
*Respect my school, teachers, and
other students - no matter what.
*Take responsibility in showing
respect and bringing my materials
to school.
*Always ask questions, even if I
don't know one small thing.

at Cob 6th Grade Campus,
I will:

materials that support instruction.

provide an environment that is safe,
encourages learning and helps students
achieve state performance standards.

differences.

accountable for behavior and
assignments.

and students.
*Help each student grow to his/her
fullest potential by providing high
quality curriculum through enrichment
activities.
*Enforce the rules of the school.
*Provide a friendly atmosphere where
all parents are welcome and encouraged
to participate to the fullest in their
child's education.
