Transcript Sept 30
Wednesday September 30 1. 2. 3. 4. 5. Go over Homework Notes: Objects and Systems Lab: Finish motion detector lab Lab: Motion man Go over homework questions 6. Entry task: discuss with your partners where you are with the lab. Discuss what you need to do to expedite the lab today. Physics Concept and Vocabulary Physics Concept: I can calculate time, displacement and velocity and visually show the relationship on a graph Vocabulary: Instantaneous velocity Using the Calculator with motion Detector Plug in calculator Attach motion detector into port Turn on calculator Press purple APP button Select Easy Pro It should automatically be reading distance Test out different motions to see what it reads Use a white board in front of you to help the motion detector read your movement. 8. To make distance/time graph, press start and the “ok”, you should hear it clicking 1. 2. 3. 4. 5. 6. 7. Make the graphs 1. After your motion ends, the clicking will stop and the graph will show up 2. Go to analyze #7 select the correct region by moving left and right cursors 3. Go to plot button and select velocity graph 4. Go to Analyze select linear fit to see your velocity vs. time Turn in both last times and today Daily Lifelines Labs Homework if I didn’t check it off End of class How might Acceleration relate to velocity, displacement and time. Homework Read and take notes from pg. 26 -29(sections 2-4 and 2-5) Take Cornell notes concentrating on terms. On the left side page (not the question area) work through examples 2-4 and 2-7, concentrating on the approach to the solution. Work through problems #17, 20, 23 and 25 from pg 43 and 44.
