Dry Cleaning
• Process uses special liquids containing organic
solvents to clean fabrics without water.
• Solvent is a substance that dissolves another
substance.
• Dry cleaners can remove some stains that we
cannot.
• Steam pressing takes out wrinkles, smoothes seams,
and restores creases and pleats.
Storing Clothes
• Closet
– How do you hang your clothes in your closet?

– Store similar items together.
• Seasonal storage
– Clothing and accessories should be cleaned before
storing.
– Store in large garment bags, boxes, or chests. Find
a cool dry place to store clothing.
