Shift work and multiple crews being used for
Mech/Vac; shift work in schedule for Cable Plant
work during PPS no access periods
Critical Path
As of 10/19/07, CP runs through BC2
Removal of hardware - Cable plant and component
install – cable terminations – cable testing; complete
11/23/07
Magnet testing & checkouts need to interleave and
follow cable completion through end of downtime
Further testing may need ROD periods

NEH elevator not available until ~March 2008, will limit

Summary
2008 Installation Planning
Early occupancy of Conventional Facilities will
begin the installation process for technical systems
Working to understand definition of early occupancy
for each area
Does not require Linac/PEPII down for LCLS
installations
BTH West installation puts some limits on beam
operation to other areas like ESA
Need to coordinate several subcontracts (~3-4?) to
install mechanical systems and cable plant
simultaneously
