DPA review process
◦ An opportunity to apply for additional Part B funds
if the school has an increase in:
1. Increase high needs or
2. 10% increase of students with disabilities from the
previous year
- Schools can apply for only Priority 1 or 2, not both.
- School must attach a list of students by NASIS
numbers only
3. Unique circumstance (narrative and budget)

School to Review:
1. Student attrition – SY2014-15 student count
versus SY2015-16 student count.
2. Funding received from:
15% ISEP,
Part B Carry-over amounts, and
Current Part B funds/allocation received for SY2015-16
3. Coordinated Early Intervening Services (CEIS)
Up to 15% of Part B funds to general education
4. Assess the information and determine whether to
apply for Unmet Needs
Complete and sign application by school
administrator, business manager and Special
Education coordinator/Head teacher.
For Priority 1 and/or Priority 2, attached current
student list using NASIS # numbers only.
See Guidelines on where to submit the document.
Reminder: DO NOT upload to Native Star as this
document will contain students’ personal identifiable
information.
Due by Friday in September 11, 2015
Compare child count data from SY2014-15 and
current student count.
Evaluate all funds the schools has received.
Review all IEP’s in NASIS (current and locked)
Read and review Unique Circumstances
Notify schools of results and submit FDD request
