Internship Programs
Please click on the internship program that applies to you or scroll to the
slide #.
• BSW (slide number, 3):
o This refers to undergraduate students who are in the BSW Program.
• Foundation MSW (slide number, 23):
o This refers to MSW students in their foundation year. Generally, they
have been admitted to the MSW Program without a BSW degree.
• Advanced MSW (slide number, 41):
o This refers to MSW students who have completed their FoundationYear MSW internship or have been admitted to the MSW Program
with a BSW degree.

Introduction to BSW Internship
• There are two options: Split and Block BSW
Internship.
• Split BSW is two-semester long and requires 480
hours or 240 hours each semester.
• Block BSW is one semester long and requires
480 hours.
o Internship with CPS Title IV-E Grant falls under Block BSW.
• Your Field Advisor is Mr. Sambo Klauth (phone:
817-272-6854, email: [email protected]).

• It may take from 15 to 45 mn.
• You can save your work and come back later
to finish your application.
• Your application information will be seen by
the assigned agency.

BSW Application Instructions
Professional Liability Insurance
This is a malpractice insurance that covers you throughout
the internship period. The criteria are:
• Minimum coverage limit: 1-3 million
• Coverage period: 1 year; please make sure it covers you
throughout the entire internship period.
• It has your name on the certificate of insurance.
• Please send your certificate of insurance (NOT the
receipt) to [email protected].

sure you put in your email

• Put the verification code
you see on your internet
screen.
• Then, click Register.

In Your Classification box, please select “Undergraduate,” which refers to BSW
students who have not done their BSW internship yet.
In Your Sub-Classification box, select “Split BSW” or “Block BSW.” Do NOT
select “undergraduate First Semester of Field.
In Semester box, please select the semester you want to start your internship.
Tick the box that say “I certify that….”
Click the button “Start my application”.

hours for internship. If you need hours past 5 pm, weekend
hours, or wheelchair accessibility, please click yes.
If you click Yes to “hours past 5pm” and “weekend hours,”
you will not see many agencies to add to your application
because almost all agencies only have business hours, Mon
to Fri, 8am to 5pm.

BSW Application Instructions
“Only matched agencies.” This
option will show available agencies
for your semester. If you click “All
agencies,” all agencies will appear.
Those agencies may not request
interns for your semester.
You can click View to view the agency’s information or
you can click Add to select that agency.You can choose up
to three agencies. Please make sure the location is
suitable for you. You may be placed at one of the agencies
on your list or not on your list. You may make an
appointment with your Field Advisor to discuss your
placement.

After ticking the two boxes above, you may click “Submit” or “Save application.”
If you click “Save application,” you will need to click “Submit” later.
When your application is returned, you will need to re-submit your application
after you make some changes. It will not be re-submitted automatically.
