What is a Flu
Vaccination?



7/15/2016
A flu vaccination is an inactivated
vaccine containing a killed virus.
Each vaccine contains three
influenza viruses.
The viruses in the vaccine change
each year based on international
surveillance, and scientists’
estimations about which types and
strains of viruses will circulate each
given year.

How is a flu vaccine
administered?



The most common form of flu
vaccinations are shots.
Nasal spray flu vaccinations are
another example, these are made
from live, weakened flu viruses that
do not cause the flu.

HYPOTHESIS


7/15/2016
We feel that flu shots are very
effective in combating the flu virus
during the height of the flu season.
We also feel that this project will
help people make an informed
decision about flu vaccines.

The division of labor for this project
was evenly divided between both
team members; both of us worked
on compiling data, and informative
facts about the flu.
