Regular –ER and –IR Preterite verbs
Regular verbs ending in –er and –ir have the same endings in the
Preterite tense. To conjugate these verbs, drop the infinitive
ending and add:

él / ella / Ud
-ió
*** Notice the accents in the ‘yo’ and the ‘él / ella / Ud’ forms !!
COMER – to eat
