Presenter : Yu-Chun Hua Adviser : Dr. Ji-Jer Huang Date : 99.12.09 Outline Introduction Purpose Paper review Materials and Methods Future Works References Introduction Electrical Impedance Tomography (EIT) is an image reconstruction technique in which the electrical conductivity of a conducting domain is reconstructed from the surface potential developed by injecting a current signal at the object boundary. Introduction A medical EIT schematic: Electrode array attached to the patient’s body Introduction Advantages non-invasive non-radiating non-ionizing inexpensive Disadvantages poor signal to noise ratio poor spatial resolution can not measure the absolute impedance of the subject Purpose Modifying previous EIT system Modifying previous voltage controlled current source (VCCS) Integrating complete EIT system
