THE GOAL OF GCOS
The goal of the Global Climate Observing
System (GCOS) is to provide
comprehensive information on the total
climate system, involving a
multidisciplinary range of physical,
chemical and biological properties and
atmospheric, oceanic, hydrologic,
cryospheric and terrestrial processes
