Students will be graded using IB rubrics for several projects throughout the year.
Six major IB projects will be completed during the year.
1st- Physics
Students will make a Roller Coaster using clear tubing. A marble has to be able to
go completely through the tubing without stopping. The students will make a
PPT to explain how the Laws of Physics can be seen in their Roller Coaster.
2nd-Earth Science
Students will research a plate boundary of their choosing. They will design a
project about the landform or consequences of the plate boundary on the
culture of the area. This project will work to help students formulate
correlations between science and social studies.
