WHY ARE WE DIFFERENT

Truly tri-partite – workers & unions,
employers associations and the
regulator working as a team, towards
a common goal

Reporting directly to the Offshore
Industry Advisory Committee (OIAC)
– real influence to effect change if we
provide hard evidence
A RECENT SUCCESS
•
Additional training for Safety Representatives
– a new industry standard currently being
developed by OPITO for additional
developmental training
•
Follows work by WIG to identify gaps and
secure support of OIAC
•
OIAC was able to obtain buy-in from Step
Change to adopt the standard
