federal governments.
• Private Employment Agencies offer the
same services as their public counterparts,
only they charge for their assistance.

television are all
indispensable
resources that usually
contain help wanted
ads.
Internet
• Job listings have
become increasingly
available on company
websites. There are
also job services
available on the
Internet, such as
Yahoo! Jobs and
Monster.
Word of Mouth
• Simple word of mouth
with family and
friends is the simplest
way to obtain
information about job
opportunities available
to you.
Direct Calling
• Direct calling involves
actually speaking with
potential employers,
via telephone or
personal visitations,
about occupational
possibilities with
them.
Evaluating a Job Opening
• A job description usually indicates what
duties are required to fulfill the job.
• Depending on whether how long one wants
the job, job security plays an important part
in the willingness to take a position.
