Narrator describing how Tom’s life went through a spiraling downhill after his daughter had
died
Tom turns whiskey and eventually led to him and his wife to have a divorce.
“All he had left was his job, his liquor and a burning desire for revenge on the person who
had taken his partner.”
Tom interrupts the story making things very difficult to understand. Tom tries to pick several
fights with the reader
Tom and the narrator were at battle to tell what really happen to Tom’s partner and how Tom
was really feeling.
As Tom and his partner capture drug addicts from a bank robbery, Tom leaves one suspect
unwatched.
The drug addict pulls out a gun and fires a round into Tom’s partners head. Because Tom left
the addict unwatched it led him to feel like a prisoner of his own mind as the guilt eats away
at him.
Tom imagines shooting two rounds in the addict’s torso killing him and setting him free from

Tom and the narrator change the story where tom is on the boat with lots of topless women
