Analytics at OCLC
 Goal: support the library community in decision-making
activity, using transactional and cooperative data
 New framework enables a comprehensive suite of
analytics and decision-making tools using library data.
 The priorities for the offering will be two-fold:
 To provide a set of tools that enable authorized library
staff members to access and manipulate library data,
both local and cooperative, in support of local decisionmaking; and
 To aggregate and expose pre-processed library data,
both local and cooperative, for consumption via the
WorldShare Platform.
First Step: Collection Evaluation
 Task-oriented interfaces help libraries put data in
context – easier to use
 Deselection/basic shared print: Spring 2013
 Benchmarking: May 2013
 Group support: November 2013
 Web service to offer machine access to pre-
processed comparison data: May 2013
