The Current Database:
Non-existent: all information
is stored as a hardcopy
rather than electronically
• Problems:
• Easy to misplace papers
• Time consuming to look up any data
• Need more workers to maintain
• Increased human error
The New Database:
• Improvements:
• Increased overall efficiency and
sustainability
• Forms: Allow for quicker input of data with
less error
• Reports: Generate useful information to
increase the Zoo’s productivity
