Erosion
• Erosion is the movement of soil particles from one
place to another by water or wind.
• Water Erosion:
– Erosion by water is caused by raindrops, surface flow,
and gully flow.
• Wind Erosion:
– Erosion by wind is common in dry areas where soils are
often bare of vegetation and high wind velocities are
common.

• Grow cover crops.
• Cultivate/Plow along
the contour.
• Strip cropping.
• Build terraces.
