There are 4 kinds of
Sentences
1. Declarative
2.Interrogative
3. Imperative
4. Exclamatory
Declarative Sentences
Declarative sentences
make a statement and
end with a period.
Examples:
1. I love to go fishing
with my grandpa.
2. I went to the
beach five times
this summer.
Interrogative
Sentences
An interrogative
sentence asks a
question and ends with
a question mark.
Examples:
1. Can we go in the
swimming pool
today?
2. Did you bring
your bathing suit?
Imperative Sentences
An imperative sentence
gives a command and
there is often an
understood (you)
subject.
Examples:
1. Tommy, look
at all fish.
2. Go clean your
room.
Exclamatory
Sentences
An exclamatory
sentence shows
strong feeling and
ends with an
exclamation point.
Examples:
1. Get out of the
water!
2. A shark is coming!
