More privileges for you and your class. You will learn more (so will your friends)! You can stay out of trouble! Be Appropriate: Do’s and Don’ts DON’T • • • • Be late to school Act out on the bus Vandalism/Theft Electronics or valuables at school DO • Come to school each day • Be prepared to learn • Use items of others only with permission • Follow rules Be Safe: Dos and Don’ts Don’ts • Fighting • Tobacco/Alcohol/ Drugs • Bullying / Harrassment • Weapons (even fakes) • Arson/Explosives DO • Seek peaceful ways to resolve conflict • Keep hands/feet to self • Bring only school materials to school Be Kind: Dos and Don’ts Don’ts • Disruptive Appearance • Disruptive behavior • Lying/Theft DO • Treat adults and other students with kindness • Use good language • Use good manners Consequences Time-out classroom Parent phone call/note/conference Loss of privileges (like recess) Office referral • Extreme defiance • Fighting/Physical aggression • Threats to harm Suspension Other Playground/Cafeteria Be Appropriate Be Safe Be Kind “PLAY BY THE RULES”
