WALK ANALYSIS LABORATORY
Baropodometric, stabilometric and morphometric clinical evaluation
Designed by
Searches Diasu Center
Data presentation with
Postural Biomechanical Index,
scientifically validated, for
assessment of the medical
condition and time variations.
Computerized walk analysis, “non-invasive”, as a preventive
measure in pathological conditions and for the study of
athletes, providing frequent monitoring and precise
measurements of the entire body structure, its balance
when standing and movement coordination during walking.

detail
Plantar Pressure Tests in orthostatic position with average oscillation and, when walking,
with analysis of the gait cycle over four metres • Balance Stabilometric Test with eyes
open and eyes closed on A/P and L/L planes, allowing evaluation of the condition of eyesight,
vestibulum and central nervous system. • Structural Morphometric Test, measurement, on
a frontal and sagittal plane, rotation, asymmetry, length of limbs and spinal curvature
disorders with a Cobb angle. • Pod alic Morphometric Test with bipod alic otpical
scanning and podalic geometry calculations, height and volume of the arch of the foot.

REPORT
The study of ambulation consisted in a global instrumental test track to study body structure
functionality and that of integrated receptors. The test was based on baropodometry, a term
invented and registered in 1986 by researcher Piero Galasso, a method for the measurement of
walking characteristics and the mechanisms of ambulatory disability.
The resulting scientific production has led to new knowledge of each single medical speciality and
has facilitated a multidisciplinary dialogue. To further meet medical requirements of improved
accuracy in the study of walking, through consistent acquisitions and repeatable information,
made available for clinical study and research, Dr. Piero Galasso has created and registered a
modular platform, expandable in length and width, with an “ultra” resolution (UltraSensor), essential in a Walk Analysis Laboratory.

rehabilitation, orthopaedics, neurology, diabetes, vascular disorders
and in congenital or acquired disorders of ambulation
in adults and children, also caused by genetic factors.
