and pleasure to invite you to participate in the second edition of Trofeo Valcellina Short
Track Open to be held at the Icerink “Alceo Della Valentina” in Claut, Italy.

GENERAL REGULATIONS: the competition will be held in accordance with the F.I.S.G.
regulations for 2016-2017 season and the 2016 ISU regulations .

CATEGORIES
Participation in the competition is open to male and female athletes in Senior, Junior
A/B/C/D/E/F and Master categories regularly affiliated to FISG or to other ISU members.

CONDITIONS OF CONTEST
The competition will be held in accordance with the F.I.S.G. regulations for short- track
speed skating 2016-2017, the ISU 2016 regulations and the conditions included in this
announcement . The All Final System is used in order to guarantee a minimum number of
races to all participants
The final results will be valid for Starclass qualification.

Seeding of the first distance of Senior and Junior A/B/C/D athletes will be based on the
best time on 500m achieved by skaters after July 1st 2015 to be provided with entries;

seeding of Junior E/F categories will similarly be based on best time on 333m.
RELAY RACE
Relay races will be organized in consultation with the officials and the organizers
depending on the number of skaters and the availability of time

2000m Junior E –D
3000m Junior C-B-A-Senior
2000m Master
With the exclusion of the Master category it must be noted that:
- A competition in a category will take place if at least six(6) Competitors have been
entered and if four(4) of them appear at the start.
- If the competition does not take place in a category due to an insufficient number
of Competitors then the Competitors concerned are allowed to start with the next
older category.
- If the Competition in the oldest category cannot take place due to an insufficient
number of Competitors then the Competitors are allowed to start with the next
younger category.
- If two or more categories are racing together then the awards in the respective
Competition will be given as if it was one (1) category.
AWARDS
Prize for the first - second and third classed in the final results for each category - ladies
and men.
The Valcellina Trophy will be awarded to the club having achieved the highest score on
the basis of its skaters results according to the following criteria:
1st place 15 points, 2nd place 10 points, 3rd place 5 points, 4th place 3 points, 5th place 2
points. From the 6th on 1 point.
The trophy will be a monetized bonus.
MEDICAL CARE
Medical care will be provided by the medical officer of the event whose presence will be

guaranteed during all the competition.
