Week 8
10th grade science
Must Do
• Create an event in your table of contents titled
“Acceleration.” Title the next blank right page the
same.
• Get a handout from Mr. Weeks and copy the diagram
and prompt onto your newly titled page.
• Respond to the five reflection questions in your
notebook.
WWK
• Acceleration – the slope of a v vs. t graph
• Constant Acceleration – an object whose velocity is
changed by the same amount in equal time intervals.
• Acceleration – represented by “a”
• a = Δv/Δt (if acceleration is constant)
Must Do
• Get out a calculator, piece of paper and a pencil and
put everything else away.
• When you are finished with your test get out a book or
homework; something to do quietly.
Must Do
• Suppose an object is speeding up with constant
acceleration. At t = 0, the object has velocity 4.6 mph.
At t= 90 seconds, the velocity is 8.2 mph.
• What is the acceleration?
• What is the velocity at t = 15 minutes?
