Week 8 10th grade science Must Do • Create an event in your table of contents titled “Acceleration.” Title the next blank right page the same. • Get a handout from Mr. Weeks and copy the diagram and prompt onto your newly titled page. • Respond to the five reflection questions in your notebook. WWK • Acceleration – the slope of a v vs. t graph • Constant Acceleration – an object whose velocity is changed by the same amount in equal time intervals. • Acceleration – represented by “a” • a = Δv/Δt (if acceleration is constant) Must Do • Get out a calculator, piece of paper and a pencil and put everything else away. • When you are finished with your test get out a book or homework; something to do quietly. Must Do • Suppose an object is speeding up with constant acceleration. At t = 0, the object has velocity 4.6 mph. At t= 90 seconds, the velocity is 8.2 mph. • What is the acceleration? • What is the velocity at t = 15 minutes?
