~MEETING TECHNOLOGY~
Unit 1
No matter who we are or where we are,
technology transforms the way we exist.
When people develop technology,
they must think about
the impacts it might have on society.

Transforming Resources into Technology:
From Production to You
Lesson 3
BIG IDEA . . .
Resources are necessary
for technology to be
produced. The process of
selecting resources should be
determined based on the
desired result of the
technology designed.
Think about it . . .
Now write the BIG IDEA of this lesson in your own words.

A Problem to Solve
Coast N Fly

Working as a team you will design a ramp and flying car. The goal is to get the
car to fly as far as possible.

Using the resources provided, design and construct a ramp that will launch a
flying car.

Using the resources provided, innovate the car provided. This car is to fly as far
as possible. The ramp will launch the car.

Keywords to research: airfoil, flight, lift, thrust, drag
