 Select one of the following two prompts.
 1: The Cuban Missile Crisis was the closest the world came to the
brink of WWIII during the Cold War. Analyze the motivation of
action for both the Russians putting missiles into Cuba and the US
for wanting them out. Discuss the actions taken by both to
achieve their aims while also attempting to avert a hot war. What
was the key moment that could have altered the outcome and how
did each side react to it.
 2: Analyze the dynamic of the Kennedy White House, amongst
both his personal advisors and his military advisors. How did the
concept of personal objectives aid or hinder the President in
determining the correct course of action. Who were the key
players to be trusted? Who were not? How was the President to
know? What in JFK’s character do you think allowed him to
navigate the maze of personal agendas?
