• Unique eye vs what sells. (At Black Market show none of the award
winning photos sold.) Color and happy themes do better but don’t
compromise your eye. Self expression vs commercial marketability.
• I am not a technical wizard, don’t know flash or studio lighting or
nighttime shots or special effects. Not a wiz at Photoshop. Been
doing a lot of still life lately.
• Matte, canvas or frame, size of physical work. Type of frame, simple
black, white matte or more ornate and specific to the work.
• Potential for sales, high price with lots of profit or low price with
better chance to sell or bin sale.
• Limited series or not? Signed and limited series.
• Tax deductible, camera, props, supplies, frames, prints, etc.
