1901 – Horders opens first store
1929 – Seven story building is built in Chicago and serves Horders until
1964.
1964 - Horders building becomes headquarters for Boise Cascade Office
Solutions.
1976 – Boise office solutions moves to new, modern facility in Itasca,
Illinois.
1988 – OfficeMax founded.
1989 – OfficeMax expands to 11 stores.
1991 – OfficeMax spreads into 15 states.
1993 – 300 Stores in 38 states.
1990-94 – Boise grows to 30 distribution centers.
1995 – OfficeMax reaches the web.
1995 – CopyMax introduced, store-within-store concept
1996-97 – OfficeMax expands to 500+ stores in 47 states.
2003 – Boise office solutions completes acquisition of OfficeMax and
chooses to keep the name.
2005 – CopyMax changes its name to OfficeMax Print and Document
Services.
