Spiritual Maturity

Spiritual maturity is an ongoing process, empowered by the Holy Spirit, by which we become like Jesus in wisdom, discipline and love.

Spiritual Growth is an ongoing process

Philippians 3:12-14 … I press on to take hold of that for which Christ Jesus took hold of me. Brothers, I do not consi der myself yet to have taken hold of it.

But one thing I do: Forgetting what is behind and straining toward what is ahead, I press on toward the goal to win the prize for which God has called me heavenward in Christ Jesus.

Ephesians 3:16,17 I pray that out of his glorious riches he may strengthen you with power through his Spirit in your inner being, 17 so that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith.

Empowered by the Holy Spirit Ephesians 6:19,20 - Do you not know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit, who is in you, whom you have received from God? You are not your own; 20 you were bought at a price. Therefore honor God with your body.

By which we become like Jesus in wisdom, discipline and love

The Worthy Goal Of A Healthy Church Colossians 1:28,29 - We proclaim him, admonishing and teaching everyone with all wisdom, so that we may present everyone mature in Christ. 29 To this end I labor, struggling with all his energy, which so powerfully works in me.

Romans 12:1-2

Therefore, I urge you, brothers, in view of God’s mercy, to offer your bodies as living sacrifices, holy and pleasing to God - this is your spiritual act of worship. Do not conform any longer to the pattern of this world,

If anyone is never at fault in what he says, he is a perfect man, able to keep his whole body in check.

Romans 6:12-13

Therefore do not let sin reign in your mortal body so that you obey its evil desires.

13 Do not offer the parts of your body to sin, as instruments of wickedness, but rather offer yourselves to God as those who have been brought from death to life; and offer the parts of your body to him as instruments of righteousness.
