IDENTIFY THE CONFLICT
 I can’t believe this is happening. I really don’t know
what to do. My mind tells me to pick Jimbo, but my
heart is screaming for Billy!
IDENTIFY THE CONFLICT
He was starring at Spencer with dark intense
eyes. The idea of him taking his peanut butter and jelly
sandwich made Christian so mad. The bell would be
ringing soon, and the first one to the counter would get
the last PB&J. Suddenly, Spencer jumped up out of his
seat and started running towards the counter. Three
seconds after his liftoff, the bell rang. Fortunately,
Christian was on the track team, and before you knew it,
they were neck-in-neck.

You're taking a shortcut through the woods to your cousin's house — with your
five-year-old sister in tow. She scratches her leg on a bush and whines, then it
begins to rain very hard. You want to make a run for it, but your sister refuses
to budge. You've never seen it rain like this before, and you've never been in
this part of the woods.
IDENTIFY THE CONFLICT
Sasha did not commit the crime, but it didn’t seem to matter. She
would have a court-hearing in the morning, and she did not feel
confident. She couldn’t imagine spending the next ten years in jail
because of this misjudgment! How many innocent people were put into
jail?
IDENTIFY THE CONFLICT
“Everytime!” screamed Marcus. He has been late to school for the past
three days because of his alarm clock! Marcus sets it right before he goes to bed,
but it hasn’t gone off for the past three days. One more tardy, and he’s getting a
write-up.
He came home after soccer practice early. It was around 6:00 P.M. and
dinner was on the table. He was getting his fork from the cabinet, when he heard
the beeping of the alarm.
He finally realized that he had been setting his alarm for 6:00 P.M. instead
of 6:00 A.M. Oops!
