Shirley Wilding Police Standards Unit Background domestic violence accounts for 17% of violent crime nationally 2 women every week die as a result of domestic violence 1 in 4 women experience domestic violence at some point in their lives 1 incident is reported to the police every minute DV has the highest rate of repeat victimisation Home office research shows that domestic homicide accounts for 35% of all murders TVCP – work streams TVCP aims to reduce violent crime nationally by – Tackling alcohol fueled violence in the night time economy – Tackling domestic violence DV investigation pack DV call taker aide memoir digital pen trial domestic violence enforcement campaign partnership with H.O.
