My Contribution ToThe Project

Basically for this project, I was assigned to source for the web hosting options available in the market and evaluate the different plans that they have. We choose two web- hosting companies (Signetique Pte Ltd & Skydio Pte Ltd). Winnie was to identify and compare the packages offered by Signetique and I, Skydio. In search for resources regarding the options available, I surfed the Internet for information. This is to provide supporting evidence. After analysing on the plans available both Winnie and I took quite some time to actually come up with a proposed web hosting plan that suits Zephyhdom’s needs. We also had to do some further research on the current web-hosting plan that Zephyhdom is currently using as to compare the distinguished features that the plans have.

Lesson Learnt from this project

I have learnt how to source for information in a more professional way (by calling and conduct interview). I have also learnt how to actually convert a document using the Adobe Writer. It’s a useful knowledge, as I might need it in the future when I’ve started working. Basically I also understood the need and importance of a web- hosting plan. Each web-hosting plans cater to different needs. Before one could decide on which plan to take up, one should do an in depth research on the web hosting options available. There are many unknowns web-hosting companies that charge a lower price compared to others and their features are similar to those of established companies. The project basically has provided me with opportunities to integrate and apply my e-commerce knowledge, concepts and skills that I have learnt throughout my 3 years of poly. This has given me the opportunity to polish up on skills that I lack on and freshen up my memory
