Product Selection
• Select a product that requires repetitive operations, no custom
made products.
• You must actually manufacture 80% to 90% of your product, not
outsource it.
• Below are listed some product categories that you may draw from,
although there are other categories that may work also.

300 Three 100 point exams (3rd exam on Finals Day)
150 Two group presentations in the Lecture class (75 points
each)
150 Two group projects in the Lecture class (75 points each)

Grading (2)
An “A” will be given to a student with 720 or more
points at course end.
A “B” will be given to a student with 640 or more
points at course end.
A “C” will be given to a student with 560 or more
points at course end.
A “D” will be given to a student with 480 or more
points at course end.`
An “F” will be given to a student with less than 480
points at course end.

OPERATIONS MANAGEMENT PRESENTATION GRADING FORM
PART ONE (75 points total)
I. Presentation Content (6 points each)
1. Mission Statement (Who, what, how)
2. How do you plan to gain a competitive advantage in the market place? Make sure to
cover your competitive priorities (which of these will your company concentrate on?)
3. Results of environmental scanning (trends, opportunities, threats, etc.)
4. A detailed description of your product
5. How did you pick your product (steps)?
6. Forecasting steps and attachments
7. Determine the necessary production capacity of your facility based on your demand
forecasts and determine what input and output measures you will utilize.
