• First product produced by
Heinz was horseradish.
• Founder Henry John
Heinz put the horseradish
in a clear jar to prove the
quality of his product
• Heinz slogan for quality
horseradish was, “no
leaves, no wood fiber, no
turnip filler.”

• Henry developed Heinz corporation at the
age of twenty five.
• In the year 1869 the idea of eating food
out of a can was unimaginable.
• It was Henry’s dream to change the use of
tomatoes.

• In the year 1919 Heinz died of pneumonia at the age of
seventy five.
• Heinz passed the company on the his son Howard
Heinz.
• Howard developed twenty five factories, and two
hundred smaller factories.
