Teacher Reflection
Thank you for sharing that with me, it's really interesting for me to see
myself teach. I noticed that I shouldn't have asked the kids IF they
used any reading strategies for the part they read, I should have
asked them which strategies they used, instead. I was giving them an
easy out!!
Also, this year I have started to use the correct terms for comprehension
strategies such as "create mental images" and "make inferences"
instead of the baby version and it's cool to hear the kids use these
words to describe how they understand what they read.
Thanks again for allowing me to see a different perspective of my
teaching strategies, it really does help!
