Gen Ed Reform

Appointed a Gen Ed Reform Working
Group to respond to Provost’s white paper

Organized two faculty meeting discussions
led by Gen Ed Steering Committee leaders

Library faculty members were appointed to
all 11 curricular teams
Evidences for promotion and
tenure

Addressed the Provost’s charge to
colleges to develop evidences for
promotion and tenure

Appointed an Evidences Working Group
to compile examples of evidences

Group gathered information and led first
faculty discussion. Work is ongoing.
Faculty Mentoring

Formed a Mentoring Working Group and
a permanent Mentoring Committee

Committee held various mentoring
events and is planning a mentor match
system.
Rethinking Research Libraries

Developed theme for yearlong faculty
discussion

Launched with overview and discussion
at 2008 fall Faculty retreat

