• The WORD (Jesus, vs. 14)

existed.
• The WORD is distinct but equal
with God and Father.

Word is Jesus.

• JESUS - meaning “Saviour,”
denoting the work only God can do.
• EMMANUEL - meaning “God with
us,” notifying God’s identification
with human beings.

and ever.”
• God the Father introduces the
Son as God at His incarnation.

“I AM” is the name by which
Yahweh revealed Himself to
Moses (Exod. 3:14).
