ATM: Automatic Teaching Machine (structure,
vocabulary, reading, and listening exercises)
VIBE: Vocabulary-Item Bank of English:
± 2000 High Frequency Words (from GSL1) and 570
Academic Words (from AWL)

ATM_iBT: hybrid (ATM+VIBE)
◦ ATM (online/on the web)
◦ VIBE (offline/local)



Insert the ATM_iBT CDROM
Run the Setup.exe
Specify the destination directory
◦ (i.e: c:/ or d:/)

Select: Full – Install all files.

Run the ATM_iBT.EXE
Type your name and press ENTER
Click the “Continue” button
Select one/more topic(s), e.g. Box no 9
 Note: the main strength of ATM_iBT is its Online
Recources (see the pull-down menu!)

Modify the available options or just press
ENTER to continue
Answer the qestions.

Repeat steps 1-6
From the Utilities pull-down menu, select
Create Paper-Based Test (or Ctrl+1)
Answer the qestions.
Press the Next Question button till done.
From the Utilities pull-down menu, select Edit
Paper-Based Test (or Ctrl+2)
Use Ms Word to add the formating as
required.
1. Open the BESMART.DOC
2. Type your questions and the keys
3. Click the ATM button to make 11 lines

4. Choose File/Save as;
• File name: xx (e.g. 99)
• Save as type: plain text (*.txt)
• Folder: Besmart/Research

Open the AtmMaker.xls
Select a sheet type for your questions
See the explanation for each coloumn
Copy your questions and paste them in Notepad
Follow steps 4 and 5 from the previous page.
Note: Sheet 1 and Sheet 2 are used to arrange ATM
questions vertically/horizontally by pressing
Ctrl+z dan Ctrl+x






Go to http://indocaller.pbwiki.com
Create an account (if don’t have one. See the top
right top corner!)
Click Log in (if you already have an account)
Then choose Upload Files
Select the file(s) you want to upload
Click the Open button to upload.
