Our Position on Climate Change

5
Our Position on Climate Change
DuPont believes the science is
sufficiently compelling to take
prudent actions to address global
warming and its potential for
climate change.
Policies must be carefully
developed to ensure adequate
reductions in an economically
sustainable manner.

Our Position on Climate Change
We believe it is in the best
interest of DuPont to:
5/22/2016 DUPONT CONFIDENTIAL
•
Anticipate increased governmental efforts
to reduce emissions
•
Ensure that governmental actions give
credit for early action
•
Use market mechanisms to assure policies
are economically sustainable

8
Encouraging Public Policy –
DuPont has taken these actions and policy positions
because they are the right things to do – for both business
and the environment. We will continue to bring new
products and technologies to market that help address the
global climate challenge.
Business alone cannot solve the problem. Federal
legislation, within a global framework, will help create the
marketplace that will drive innovation, economic growth,
and environmental progress. DuPont strongly believes
governments should take action on climate change.
