The Program of future RENAM network
infrastructure development includes:
 up-grading main network communication links using
modern
broadband
high-speed
and
wireless
communication technologies;
 creation of own fiber optic media for data transfer,
backbone in Chisinau city;
 shifting of the basic highways of internodal links on new
communication technologies – АТМ (155 Mbps - OC3),
Gigabit Ethernet, IPv6, Internet2…
 widening RENAM connections for covering new regions of
the country;
 involving additional educational and research bodies of
Moldova in RENAM networking activities;
 improvement of the existing connections and establishing
new Internet access links.

The project of communication bridge was devoted to the
creation of new direct, reliable and effective bi-directional
connection link between two neighbour NRENs:
 RENAM:

Educational
Networking
 RoEduNet: Romanian Education Network
These two networks represent national networking
infrastructures, which are opened for all Universities,
colleges, schools, scientific institutions and cover all the
territory of two neighbour countries.
