Traditional Review • Worksheets with practice problems or vocabulary or conceptual questions • Teach students how to review themselves • Teacher-led review either by concept or problems • Vocabulary Cards or Flash cards
Concept Mapping • Students are given a list of terms or phrases and asked to construct a concept map
Write your own Test Students create their own questions about their tests given specifics like: • Type of question (multiple choice, calculation, etc) • Number of questions Afterwards students share their questions and answers.
“Think About it!” thanks to Lee Trampleasure • Students work in partners or groups to answer questions about pictures or videos and apply classroom knowledge to real world examples. • Check YouTube for ideas!
Would this man be able to move forward? If not, what would you change in order for it to work?

If the VW bug is going fast enough

Poster Projects •
Gallery Walk
– Students trade off being “experts” and “learners” about a topic.
•
Presenting Posters
– each group is an “expert” on the topic and share with the class
• Rotating Review Each group is assigned a concept, poster and a differently colored pen • Students write as much you can on your poster • Groups rotate posters and add to each one in turn; easy to grade as you simply check for colors
Kinesthetic Activities • Clever Catch • Interactive Quiz Boards • Movement as Review • “Heat Wave Dance” • Forces Boot Camp
Projects/ Presentations/ Performances • • • Students can create a song, poem, story on a specific topic that will be performed for the class Students create their own organization scheme for information Students create review books of important information
Foldables
Brainstorming • What do you think?
