Introducción de la Clase J70 en
Uruguay

El Yacht Club Punta del Este incorporará a su Escuela de Vela en 2014
entre 4 y 6 J 70s, bajo el el nuevo marco legal de promoción del
deporte. El proyecto se presentó en la Comisión de Proyectos
Deportivos el 30/4/2014 con el aval de la Federación Uruguaya de
Yachting a Vela.
Se trata del proyecto más ambicioso de los últimos años para poner a
Uruguay en la vanguardia del Yachting regional y mundial.
En paralelo con este proyecto, el YCPE ofrece a particulares sumarse a
esta primera importación de barcos, con el objetivo de consolidar una
primera flota de entre 8 y 12 barcos y organizar el Primer
Sudamericano de la Clase J70 en Punta del Este en el 2015. Ya hay
considerables flotas compitiendo en Brasil, Chile y Perú.
Se trata de una oportunidad única de sumarse a una iniciativa que
pondrá a nuestro país, como pocas veces, en una posición de privilegio
en cuanto a la experiencia temprana de un indiscutible fenómeno
internacional que dará que hablar por décadas seguramente.

• Clase con mayor crecimiento mundial en los últimos 2 años,
al nivel que crecía el J 24 en los 80s; finalmente, 36 años
desde su lanzamiento, el J 24 tiene un sustituto
• Barco ágil, fácil de navegar y divertido; planea con apenas
12 nudos de viento.
• Primer barco de clase, con quilla, que se puede bajar por
una rampa
• Garantía de ONE DESIGN: J Boats es garante del
mantenimiento de las reglas de la clase, motivo del éxito
mundial de todas las clases J y, en especial, del J24
