We are excited to Welcome you
to Park View Middle School!
 We
hope we can answer some
questions for you here!
To begin with, we will need two
emergency release cards
from you today.
We are excited to Welcome you
to Park View Middle School!

We would like for you to take a moment
to take the Anti-Bully pledge. It is located
on the back of your agenda binders.
There is a sheet of paper we need for you to sign
that says you reviewed the pledge.
We will use this sheet to enter you
in a drawing during announcements!
“When is lunch?”

All students will have about a ten minute
nutrition break after 2nd period.

Lunches have both 7th and 8th graders.

“What time does school start?”

Be here by 7:40 a.m.


Dismissal is at 2:15 p.m.
“Do you eat lunch at school?”

Make sure you fill out a lunch application!

It is so important at the middle school
level to eat regular meals throughout
the school day.
You will have enough time
To get your lunch.
“When can I meet our teachers?”

Teachers are available at Back to School
night Thursday August 23rd.

It will be held in the fine arts room
beginning at 6:30 p.m.
“Can we circulate around
campus today ?”

Please walk around and familiarize
yourself with the school.

Teachers will be in a staff meeting
Wednesday afternoon and a training on
Thursday morning.
“I want to change my lunch to
be with my friends.”
During the first two weeks of school, changes to your
class schedule will be made only if there is an error on
your schedule.
Schedule changes are very difficult due to full capacity in
many classes. Lunch assignments cannot be changed
because lunch periods are determined by the student’s
4th period class and teacher.
We will try to make requested changes.
If there is room after the first two weeks of school.
PE Clothes
You can purchase your PE clothes during
the first week of school.
 PE clothes are $20 for tops and bottoms
 You can reuse your clothes from last year,
you can reuse your older siblings clothes.
 Shorts Color: Navy
 Shirt Color: Gray

Do I have to purchase my PE
clothes at school?
The answer is no.
 We would like for you to because it helps
our school, but we know that money can
be tight so you may purchase them
elsewhere.

PE Lockers
Be
sure to walk through the locker
rooms today! PE teachers will welcome
you at the blacktop during the first day!

Your PE teachers will give you a lock and
you will have your own lockers.
“Is there help to find your
classes?”
There will be plenty of adults around to
ask for help to find your class.
 The adults here really do care about kids!
We will help you. 

“After school programs, are
there any?”
Right now there are no programs in place.
There will be programs in place following
Labor Day, most likely an after school
homework help in the library until 3:15
p.m.
Restrooms

All student restrooms will be open all day.

Reminder: Be sure to walk through the
locker room restrooms today! PE teachers
will welcome you at the blacktop during
the first day!
“What happens if my child is
bullied?”
Have them write down the incident on a
sheet of paper and ask him/her to deliver
it to the office!

“What is ABI?”
ABI is an on line way to view your child’s
grades.
 It will not be active for the first two weeks
of school.
 Directions for ABI use will appear in the
parent handbook and there is also a letter
available for you today with direction for
its use.

Does your child take
medications?
 If
so, please stop by and see the
Health Tech.
 All
medication must be checked in
with the school Health Tech.
