In fact, I bought 2 more books by this author when I finished this one.
The plot was tightly written and the characters were interesting and well developed. I hope the
other books continue the main characters.
I highly recommend this book to those who like police procedural with an international flavor.

Ik denk dat Deon het wel heeft, maar in Feniks kwam dit niet naar voren. Deon heeft een
prettige schrijfstijl, gebruikt mooie romantische woorden en dat is in het begin prettig en gezellig.
In de loop van het verhaal is het soms storend. Door de romantische woorden is de spanning
ver te zoeken.
Mat Joubert is een echte mopperpot en heeft het zwaar in zijn leven. Elke ochtend zwemmen
komt me langzaam de neus uit. We weten na 200 pagina’s wel dat hij aan zijn gezondheid
werkt, en dat het voor hem belangrijk is, maar de spanning komt het niet te goede. Jammer en
echte gemiste kans.
