Η Σχολή Καλών, Γραφικών και
Εφαρμοσμένων Τεχνών Freshart,
αποτελεί πλήρως αναγνωρισμένο

Higher National Diploma
in Art & Design (Level 4/5)
The Pearson BTEC Higher National
Certificate (HNC) and the Higher
National Diploma (HND) in Art and
Design cover the key knowledge,
understanding and practical skills
required in the Art, Media and Design
sectors, and develops a critical
awareness of the historical, contextual
and social issues relevant to Art and
Design practice.
The HNC/HND Diploma allows students
to experiment with Art and Design
projects, and work on both given and
self-defined briefs, to create a portfolio
of art and design work.
During the programme students will
develop a substantial portfolio, take
part in exhibitions of their own work,
and work for well-known organisations
in the Art and Design industry.
BTEC Higher Nationals are
internationally recognised qualifications
and popular route to university leading
to the second year of a Bachelor
Degree if completing the HNC Diploma
or to the third year if completing the
HND Diploma.
The pathways covered include Fine Art,
Graphic Design, Animation, Illustration,
Fashion and Textiles, Art Photography,
Product Design, and Interior Design.

Πανεπιστημίου για απόκτηση Bachelor
(ΒΑ), αν ολοκληρώσουν το μονοετούς

in Art and Design (Level 3/4)
The Pearson BTEC Foundation Diploma
in Art and Design is described as one
of the strongest and most distinctive
Foundation programmes, where you
develop the skills and portfolio required
for most degree programmes in Art and
Design.

undertake will allow you to experience
a range of ideas, materials, processes

consequently identify and explore your

in Art and Design αποτελεί ένα από
τα πιο ισχυρά προγράμματα, όπου οι
φοιτητές μπορούν να αναπτύξουν τις
δεξιότητες τους, καθώς και το portfolio
που απαιτείται για τα περισσότερα
πτυχιακά προγράμματα στους κλάδους
του Art & Design.

FOUNDATION
GCE A’ Level in Art and Design
(Pathways: Fine Art, Photography, Graphic Design)
GCE A’ Level students are encouraged
to explore their own and others’
ideas from a variety of starting points,
subsequently developing their own
art and design practice including the
integration of theory, knowledge and
understanding through research.
Students will organise, select and
communicate ideas, solutions and
responses presenting these in a range
of visual forms.
The course will enable students to
extend their own and others’ ways of
seeing the world through increased
fluency in visual language, materials
and techniques. Art and design
practices are used to develop ideas
through sustained investigations
and exploration, selecting and using
materials, processes and resources.
Students will learn how to collect
relevant data, analyse and evaluate art
and design works critically and show an
understanding of purposes, meanings
and contexts, as well as, develop
intellectual, imaginative, creative and
intuitive powers.
Οι μαθητές του επιπέδου GCE A’Level
ενθαρρύνονται να διερευνήσουν μέσα
από ποικίλες πηγές τόσο τις δικές
τους ιδέες, όσο και διακεκριμένων
καλλιτεχνών, ώστε να αναπτύξουν τις
δικές τους πρακτικές και μεθόδους στο
Art & Design, συμπεριλαμβάνοντας την
εφαρμογή της θεωρίας, τη νέα γνώση

GCSE in Art and Design
(Pathways: Fine Art, Photography, Graphic Design)
The GCSE in Art and Design provides
students with a wide range of creative,
exciting and stimulating opportunities
to explore their interests in ways
that are both personally relevant and
developmental in nature.
The course enables students to develop
their ability to actively engage in the
processes of Art and Design, build
creative skills through learning and
doing.
Students imaginative and intuitive ways
of working and develop knowledge
and understanding of media, materials
and technologies in historical and
contemporary contexts, societies and
cultures.
Students will develop their creative
and imaginative powers and practical
recording skills for communicating and
expressing ideas, feelings and meanings
in art, craft and design, using the formal
elements, including line, tone, colour,
shape, pattern, texture, form and
structure through experimentation with
a wide range of media and techniques.

παρέχει στους μαθητές μια μεγάλη

GCSE
Art for Kids
Through experimentation with various
materials and methods, children from
the age of 4 can start developing their
art-making skills and explore personal
areas of creative interest. A variety
of materials and techniques will be
explored, including watercolour,
tempera paint, mixed media, and clay,
as well as methods in printmaking.
Various age-appropriate techniques
will be explored and materials used to
create 2D and 3D works.
Από την ηλικία των 4 ετών τα
παιδιά αρχίζουν να αναπτύσσουν
τις καλλιτεχνικές τους δεξιότητες και
να εξερευνούν τομείς προσωπικού
ενδιαφέροντος και δημιουργίας. Μέσα
από την επαφή με μια ποικιλία υλικών
και τεχνικών, συμπεριλαμβανομένων
ακουαρέλας, χρωμάτων με τέμπερα,
πηλού, καθώς και μεθόδων χαρακτικής,
αλλά και κατασκευές 2D και 3D, τα
παιδιά εκφράζουν τη δημιουργικότητα
τους.
From the age of 6, students will start
developing their drawing and painting
skills using direct observation and
imagination. Students will explore
line, colour, shape, perspective and
composition. Materials will include
pencil, charcoal, watercolour and
acrylic paint. Emphasis will be placed
on acquiring basic drawing and painting
skills, as well as on finding a personal
style.
Από την ηλικία των 6, τα παιδιά
αρχίζουν να αναπτύσσουν τις
δεξιότητές τους στο σχέδιο και τη
ζωγραφική, μελετούν και δουλεύουν τα
χρώματα, τα σχήματα, την προοπτική
και τη σύνθεση, χρησιμοποιώντας το
μολύβι, το κάρβουνο, την ακουαρέλα
και το ακρυλικό χρώμα. Ιδιαίτερη
έμφαση δίνεται στην απόκτηση
βάσεων στο σχέδιο, στη ζωγραφική,
καθώς και στην εξεύρεση ενός
προσωπικού στυλ και ύφους του κάθε
παιδιού.

beginner and the experienced artist,
and covers a broad range of courses in

painting, printmaking, photography,

students will learn through studiobased exploration, and use the

οι ενήλικες φοιτητές έρχονται
σε επαφή με μια πραγματικά
δημιουργική, συναρπαστική και
διαρκώς μεταβαλλόμενη εμπειρία,
σε ό,τι αφορά την τέχνη, το σχέδιο,
τη ζωγραφική, τη χαρακτική, τη
φωτογραφία, τη γλυπτική και πολλά
άλλα.
Αναγνωρίζοντας και εκτιμώντας τη
διαφορετικότητα της καλλιτεχνικής
έκφρασης του καθενός ατόμου
ξεχωριστά, οι φοιτητές μαθαίνουν
να πειραματίζονται με διάφορες
τεχνικές και τεχνοτροπίες τέχνης
και σχεδιασμού, και το κυριότερο,
να ανακαλύπτουν το πάθος και την
έμπνευση τους για δημιουργία, σε ένα

Portfolio
This course provides guidance and
instruction on preparing a portfolio
for application to Art, Media and
Design courses for various levels
including Diplomas, Bachelor Degrees
and Master’s Degree. Students will
have the opportunity to explore and
develop their skills within a variety of
practical disciplines.
These will cover and include research
methods, development of ideas,
sketchbook visualisation, problem
solving, portfolio preparation,
presentation and interview skills.
Students will build on their previous
art and design knowledge and
understanding through integrated class
talks and group / individual discussion.
Individual guidance on student
portfolios will be given and exemplar
folios available to illustrate content and
quality of portfolio submissions.
Το μάθημα παρέχει την καθοδήγηση,
τις γνώσεις και τις πρακτικές για τη
σωστή προετοιμασία ενός Portfolio.
Το Portfolio είναι ιδιαίτερα σημαντικό,
καθώς αποτελεί το εισιτήριο για αίτηση
και εισαγωγή σε Πανεπιστήμια για
απόκτηση πτυχίου ή μεταπτυχιακού,
διπλώματος σχετικού με τους κλάδους
του Art, Media & Design, αλλά ακόμα
και για εξεύρεση εργασίας στους
σχετικούς κλάδους.
Οι μαθητές διαμορφώνουν το Portfolio
τους παρουσιάζοντας τις ικανότητες
και δεξιότητες τους στις διάφορες
τεχνικές του Art, Media & Design, αλλά
και του σκεπτικού πάνω στις οποίες
είναι βασισμένες.
Η μεθοδολογία της προετοιμασίας του
Portfolio περιλαμβάνει δημιουργική
έρευνα, ανάπτυξη ιδεών, καθοδήγηση
από τον καθηγητή και ανταλλαγή
απόψεων, εφαρμογή παραδειγμάτων,
εικονογράφηση σκεπτικού,
παρουσίαση, καθώς και προετοιμασία
συνέντευξης.
