Change in Balance of Payments reporting requirements
Handelsregister 3300 3396
Dear Madam/Dear Sir,
Your institution – with registration number <regnr> – is currently required as a
special financial institution (bijzondere financiële instelling – BFI) to submit monthly
reports to De Nederlandsche Bank (DNB) about cross-border transactions, and to
report on a yearly basis stock data about financial relations with domestic and
foreign parties.
Datum
In order to keep our representative sample of the BFI population updated, we
adjust our pool of reporters annually on the basis of the balance sheet figures of all
BFIs in our register. For details on the selection model used, please see the
document “notes to the selection of monthly reporters” on our website:
http://www.dnb.nl/en/statistics/eline-bb/reporting-profiles/beb/index.jsp
Ons kenmerk
As of January 2016, your institution will no longer be designated as a monthly and
yearly reporter for the year 2016, pursuant to Section 2(1) of the Balance of
Payments Reporting Instructions 2003 (Rapportagevoorschriften
betalingsbalansrapportages 2003 – RV 2003). Instead, your company will be asked
to take part in the annual benchmark report under Section 2(2) of the RV 2003.

Please note, however, that any outstanding reporting obligations regarding the year
2015 (including the 2015 annual submission) remain in full force. You can see
whether any such outstanding obligations exist in the status overview of the e-Line
Balance of Payments internet application. Each obligation includes a deadline, which
you must meet. The e-Line application also shows the reporting deadlines.
We will inform you in due course about the deadline for submitting the benchmark
report and give you the relevant reporting instructions to meet the requirements.
The results of future benchmark reports may give DNB cause to redesignate your
institution as a monthly and yearly reporter under Section 2(1) of the RV 2003.
