sessioni plenarie insieme a sessioni di gruppo e Questions time. Le sessioni
riguardavano diversi argomenti quali la competizione, i direttori di gara,
l'insegnamento, la tecnologia, Internet, Bridge & TV, ecc ...
Le presentazioni del convegno (alcune molto interessanti) sono reperibili al
seguente link:
http://www.eurobridge.org/2014-seminar-presentations.aspx
I bridgisti italiani devono
solo pagare (= tipico trattamento riservato ai fessi).
Bridgisti, svegliatevi che è ora!

The European Bridge League organises a Seminar with the NBO’s Officers every two years.
Following the very successful seminar held in Budapest in 2012, the 7th edition took place at the Maritim Hotel in Berlin
from 30th January to 2nd February 2014.
The Seminar programme included plenary sessions together with group sessions, Poster sessions and a Free Questions
time.
The sessions will covered various topics as competition, Tournament Director, teaching, technology, Website, Bridge
& TV, Social Media, developments, youth, finances, etc… and many of the presentations made can be downloaded by
clicking here
These four days provide a real opportunity for all participants to exchange their views and different experiences
developed around all parts of Europe.
It was a unique opportunity for the NBO’s Officers and the EBL EC Members to discuss the expectations of the NBOs
from the EBL and conversely.
We hope all the participants found the exchange of information and experience invaluable and enjoyable .

“Cerebrum Sanum in Corpore Sano”
CSCS2020: FRIENDSHIP, RULES, INTEGRITY, COMMUNITY
7th EBL NBO Officers’ Seminar Berlin,
30th January to 2nd February 2014
CSCS2020
friendship, rules, integrity, community
“Cerebrum Sanum in Corpore Sano” is a project of a not-for-profit Sport Event supported by
the construction of an European community of young people aimed to promote Bridge and
Fencing Sports and their values, (EU White Paper on Sport), creating a Community based
on Friendship, Respect for Rules, Integrity, Inclusion.
The project will be presented in occasion of the first Erasmus+ call
with deadline on 14th March 2014. Many other calls are waiting for us:
Horizon2020, Europe for citizens, Creative Europe...
Why Bridge and Fencing together?
Both disciplines develop through related and complementary paths.
It is rather restrictive to think only at features as concentration, strategy, tactics, reaction time,
ability to anticipate the opponent’s moves in a few seconds, psychological strength.
In fact, synergies between the two disciplines are many, and can be identified in the teaching
and training approach. Generally, an athlete, in order to be able to achieve his full potential,
should reach his highest fitness level together with an excellent state of mind.
The training paths of the two disciplines are similar and complementary, and they aim at
creating an ideal bond between physical and brain activities, through in-depth analysis on
topics such as Problem Solving and Team Building,

CSCS2020 : the project
CSCS2020 consists in the organisation of a sport event on Mind Sports Bridge & Fencing, and
in the creation of a community of young people on the basis of values such as friendship,
integrity, solidarity, inclusion, contained in the EU White Paper on Sport.
The event will take place in Rome, at the Olympic training centre “G. Onesti”, since the 24th
April until the 3rd May 2015, and it will represent the final stage of a training and qualification
process, developed over the entire year.
Every participating country will identify a boarding school, engaged with «dual careers», where
federal instructors, duly selected, will present theoretical and practical training modules about
Bridge & Fencing, which will allow to organise local tournaments to qualify for the final
competitions. Every country will then send 6 athletes to Rome, where tournaments will be held
for the duathlon (Bridge & Fencing).
Rome, since the 24th April until the 3rd May 2015
