A
rchitecturalPlus-Serie 1, the innovative
range of powder coatings for architecture,
is a perfect solution to the demands of the metal
construction industry in terms of strength and
durability while, at the same time, being able to
enhance the aesthetic value of projects.
Thanks to the variety of products and to their
technical and aesthetic characteristics, this range
of powder coatings has gained more and more
significant positions up to the top of the market,
not only in terms of production volumes but also of
actual importance of the works and structures in
which the coatings have been used.
The ArchitecturalPlus-Serie 1 products are intended
for the treatment of continuous façades, door and
window frames, outdoor furniture, street furniture
and all those buildings and/or structures where
both the protection and the look of surfaces play a
key role.
In fact, a few major projects have been recently
completed in which structures and outdoor
continuous elements have been fully treated with
ArchitecturalPlus-Serie 1 powder coatings.

vernici in polvere per architettura, rappresenta
una perfetta soluzione alle esigenze di resistenza e durabilità richieste dal settore delle costruzioni metalliche ed esalta al tempo stesso la valenza estetica del
progetto.
Questa gamma di vernici in polvere ha conquistato,
per varietà di prodotti e soprattutto per le valenze tecnico-estetiche che la caratterizzano, posizioni sempre
più significative che hanno portato il brand sempre
più in alto, non solo in termini di volumi prodotti ma
anche in termini di effettiva importanza delle opere e
strutture nelle quali il prodotto è stato utilizzato.
Le vernici ArchitecturalPlus-Serie 1 sono destinate al
trattamento di facciate a modulo continuo, serramenti ed infissi, componenti d’arredo esterno, strutture
ed elementi d’arredo urbano e in tutte quelle opere
e/o strutture in cui la garanzia di protezione ed effetto estetico superficiale hanno un ruolo fondamentale.
Sono state infatti recentemente completati importanti
progetti in cui struttura e moduli continui esterni sono stati totalmente trattati con rivestimenti in polvere
ArchitecturalPlus-Serie 1.
HIGHLIGHT OF THE MONTH
Tra queste opere da poco concluse spicca il “Crystal
Tower” di Bucarest (Romania), un edificio avveniristico in cui giocano un ruolo dominante struttura, luci
e trasparenze (fig. 1). Con i suoi 72 metri d’altezza e
oltre 20.000 metri quadrati di superficie utile, l’edificio è divenuto il simbolo del cuore economico e commerciale della capitale rumena. La struttura, interamente destinata ad uso direzionale e commerciale,
comprende aree parcheggio, uffici, sale congressi,
banche, ristoranti-bar, centri fitness & spa (fig. 2) e
un eliporto posto sul tetto (rif. foto d’apertura).

The ArchitecturalPlus-Serie 1 powder coating range
by Europolveri has been designed, formulated and
tested with the aim of providing architects and
designers with specific finishing solutions for any
issue relating to the
materials to be used as
a part of the finishing
and surface protection
processes of structures
and architectural
works. The range
can be expanded and
diversified by adjusting
its formulation in terms
of colour and finish
based on the demands
of architects, planners
and designers, in order
to enhance the aesthetic
value of the treated
surfaces without altering
the application options
and the technical
performance of the film.
The laboratories and
the R&D department
of Europolveri have
carefully selected the
raw materials as well as
sought and identified the most suitable formulations
to ensure high technical, functional and aesthetic
performance of the treatment, by virtue of the
particular mix of polymeric agents and particularly
stable pigments. This is a clear response to the
designers’ requirements in relation to the location of
the structures or works designed.
La linea di vernici in polvere ArchitecturalPlus-Serie 1 di
Europolveri è stata concepita, formulata e testata
nell’ottica di fornire specifiche e concrete soluzioni di finitura ad architetti e progettisti, sistematicamente impegnati con le tematiche
inerenti i materiali da utilizzare nell’ambito della
finitura e protezione superficiale di strutture ed
opere architettoniche.
La gamma può essere ampliata e diversificata calibrandone la formula in
termini cromatici e di finitura, a seconda delle richieste poste da architetti, progettisti e designer,
esaltando quindi la valenza estetica della superficie
trattata ma mantenendo
inalterate le opzioni applicative e le prestazioni tecniche del film.
I laboratori e il reparto
R&D Europolveri hanno
scrupolosamente selezionato le materie prime, ri1
cercato ed individuato le
formulazioni più idonee
a garantire al trattamento, in virtù del particolare mix
di agenti polimerici e pigmenti particolarmente stabili,
prestazioni tecnico-funzionali ed estetiche di alto livello.
Si tratta di una precisa risposta ai requisiti richiesti dai
progettisti in relazione all’ubicazione ambientale della struttura o del manufatto in corso di progettazione.

Among these recently completed works, the “Crystal
Tower” of Bucharest (Romania) stands out, a futuristic
building in which structure, light and transparency play
a dominant role (Fig. 1). 72 metres high and with over
20,000 square metres of usable area, the building has
become a symbol of the economic and commercial
core of the Romanian capital. The structure, intended
for commercial and office use, includes parking areas,
offices, conference rooms, banks, restaurants, bars,
fitness centres, health spas (Fig. 2) and a helipad on the
roof (Opening Photo).

The structure, intended for commercial and office use, includes parking areas, offices, conference rooms, banks, restaurants, bars, fitness centres, health spas.

Locations subject to corrosive and degenerative
factors such as ultraviolet radiation or high moisture
and salinity levels, alone or together with the action
of other exogenous agents, require treatments
capable of ensuring a high degree of protection and
therefore durability of the structures with, at the
same time, adequate aesthetic effects.
The ArchitecturalPlus-Serie 1 powder coatings are
based on TGIC-free, polyester resins and include two
different product lines, standard (Class 1) and super
durable (Class 2).
Both the standard and the super durable coatings
can be produced in a wide range of colour shades,
gloss (glossy, semi-gloss, semi-matt, and matte) and
surface looks (smooth, wrinkled, textured, stippled
and transparent, also with combined effects such
as metallic/smooth, metallic/textured and metallic/
transparent). The ArchitecturalPlus-Serie 1 range is
applicable with tribo, corona and, on request, disk
treatment methods.
The main difference between the standard and the
super durable range lies in the gloss and colour
resistance to the exposure/time factor.

Le vernici in polvere ArchitecturalPlus-Serie 1 sono formulate con una base di resine poliestere esenti da TGIC
e comprendono due differenti linee di prodotti, una
standard (Classe 1) ed una linea di vernici superdurabili
(Classe 2).
Sia le vernici standard che quelle superdurabili possono essere prodotte in un’ampia gamma di tonalità cromatiche, di brillantezza (lucida, semilucida, semiopaca
ed opaca) e di aspetto superficiale (liscio, raggrinzato,
bucciato, puntinato e trasparente ed anche con effetti combinati metallizzato/liscio, metallizzato/bucciato
e metallizzato/trasparente). L’intera gamma di prodotti
ArchitecturalPlus-Serie 1 è applicabile con sistema Tribo,
Corona e, su richiesta, con sistema a disco.
La differenza sostanziale tra la linea standard e quella
superdurabile è in termini di resistenza del grado di brillantezza e tinta al fattore esposizione/tempo.

The powder coatings from the

subjected to rigorous tests both in natural
and artificial environments, the passing
of which ensures full compliance of a
product with the benchmarks of the main
certifications. Both the Class 1 and the Class 2
coatings are QUALICOAT and GBS certified.
