▌ Packer pre-setting while running in hole
 ZoneGuard packer feature – Anti-preset piston lock ring will
prevent the packer from prematurely setting while running in hole
▌ Packer is not holding – requires differential pressure rating
 ZoneGuard packer feature – Multi-element, multi-durometer
rubber element package with a uniquely designed backup ring
system to provide maximum differential pressure capabilities

ZoneGuard® SR Packer Case Study
CHALLENGE:
 A customer in Canada wanted to perform a multi-zone frac job to optimize well production. The
desire was to isolate and selectively treat 27 zones in the most efficient completions possible.
SOLUTION:
 Halliburton proposed using hydraulically set ZoneGuard SR packers to isolate all 27 zones and
achieve the desired zonal isolation. In conjunction with the packers they utilized RapidStage™
sleeves for selectively treating the zones. The ability to run, set and isolate the zones in one run
provided a cost-effective solution for this well and allowed the customer to stimulate the well as soon
as the rig was released.
RESULT:
 The ZoneGuard SR packer short compact design helped ensure the success of getting the job to
depth. The packer’s high-pressure capabilities provided the isolation needed for effective job
placement. All 27 zones were effectively isolated, and the target zone treated without any
complications.
