WILL ONE UN-REPENTED SIN
SHUT THE DOORS OF HEAVEN?
1 Peter 3:15 But sanctify the Lord God in your
hearts, and always be ready to give a defense to
everyone who asks you a reason for the hope that
is in you, with meekness and fear;
John 12:48 "He who rejects Me, and does not
receive My words, has that which judges him -the word that I have spoken will judge him in the
last day.
2 Corinthians 5:10 For we must all appear before
the judgment seat of Christ, that each one may
receive the things done in the body, according to
what he has done, whether good or bad.
Revelation 20:12 And I saw the dead, small and
great, standing before God, and books were
opened. And another book was opened, which is
the Book of Life. And the dead were judged
according to their works, by the things which
were written in the books.
John 15:6 "If anyone does not abide in Me, he is
cast out as a branch and is withered; and they
gather them and throw them into the fire, and
they are burned.
Hebrews 6:4- For it is impossible for those who
were once enlightened, and have tasted the
heavenly gift, and have become partakers of the
Holy Spirit, 5 and have tasted the good word of
God and the powers of the age to come, 6 if they
fall away, to renew them again to repentance,
since they crucify again for themselves the Son of
God, and put Him to an open shame.
Hebrews 10:26 For if we sin willfully after we
have received the knowledge of the truth, there
no longer remains a sacrifice for sins, 27 but a
certain fearful expectation of judgment, and fiery
indignation which will devour the adversaries.
Hebrews 2:1 Therefore we must give the more
earnest heed to the things we have heard, lest we
drift away.
2 Peter 2:20 For if, after they have escaped the
pollutions of the world through the knowledge of
the Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, they are again
entangled in them and overcome, the latter end is
worse for them than the beginning.
1 Corinthians 10:12 Therefore let him who thinks
he stands take heed lest he fall.
Hebrews 12:15 looking carefully lest anyone fall
short of the grace of God; lest any root of
bitterness springing up cause trouble, and by this
many become defiled;
Galatians 5:4 You have become estranged from
Christ, you who attempt to be justified by law;
you have fallen from grace.
Isaiah 59:2 But your iniquities have separated
you from your God; And your sins have hidden His
face from you, So that He will not hear.
Romans 6:23 For the wages of sin is death,
Ephesians 2:8 For by grace you have been saved
through faith,
James 1:14 But each one is tempted when he is
drawn away by his own desires and enticed. 15
Then, when desire has conceived, it gives birth to
sin; and sin, when it is full-grown, brings forth
death.
1 John 1:7 But if we walk in the light as He is in
the light, we have fellowship with one another,
and the blood of Jesus Christ His Son cleanses us
from all sin. 8 If we say that we have no sin, we
deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us. 9 If
we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to
forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all
unrighteousness. 10 If we say that we have not
sinned, we make Him a liar, and His word is not in
us.
Acts 8:18 And when Simon saw that through the laying on
of the apostles' hands the Holy Spirit was given, he
offered them money, 19 saying, "Give me this power also,
that anyone on whom I lay hands may receive the Holy
Spirit." 20 But Peter said to him, "Your money perish with
you, because you thought that the gift of God could be
purchased with money! 21 "You have neither part nor
portion in this matter, for your heart is not right in the
sight of God. 22 "Repent therefore of this your
wickedness, and pray God if perhaps the thought of your
heart may be forgiven you. 23 "For I see that you are
poisoned by bitterness and bound by iniquity." 24 Then
Simon answered and said, "Pray to the Lord for me, that
none of the things which you have spoken may come
upon me."
Hebrews 4:15 For we do not have a High Priest
who cannot sympathize with our weaknesses, but
was in all points tempted as we are, yet without
sin.
Psalm 103:8 The LORD is merciful and gracious, Slow to
anger, and abounding in mercy. 9 He will not always
strive with us, Nor will He keep His anger forever. 10 He
has not dealt with us according to our sins, Nor punished
us according to our iniquities. 11 For as the heavens are
high above the earth, So great is His mercy toward those
who fear Him; 12 As far as the east is from the west, So
far has He removed our transgressions from us. 13 As a
father pities his children, So the LORD pities those who
fear Him. 14 For He knows our frame; He remembers that
we are dust. 15 As for man, his days are like grass; As a
flower of the field, so he flourishes. 16 For the wind
passes over it, and it is gone, And its place remembers it
no more. 17 But the mercy of the LORD is from
everlasting to everlasting On those who fear Him, And His
righteousness to children's children, 18 To such as keep
His covenant, And to those who remember His
commandments to do them.
One sin:
• Separated Adam and Eve from the tree of life and the
garden of Eden.
• Caused Cain to receive a mark from God and to lose his
skill of farming.
• Caused Lot’s wife to be turned into a pillar of salt.
• Caused a prophet to be eaten by a lion because he
believed a lie, which cause him to sin against God (1 Kings
13)
• Caused Moses not to enter the promise land (Although it
did not keep him out of the heavenly realm, which is
implied by him appearing in the transfiguration with Jesus
(Mt. 17).
• Caused Ananias and Sapphira to be put to death
instantly (Acts 5).
• Caused Jesus to be betrayed, and caused Judas to hang
himself who defiantly did not make it to heaven.
1 Corinthians 9:24 Do you not know that those
who run in a race all run, but one receives the
prize? Run in such a way that you may obtain it.
25 And everyone who competes for the prize is
temperate in all things. Now they do it to obtain a
perishable crown, but we for an imperishable
crown. 26 Therefore I run thus: not with
uncertainty. Thus I fight: not as one who beats
the air. 27 But I discipline my body and bring it
into subjection, lest, when I have preached to
others, I myself should become disqualified.
Hebrews 12:1 Therefore we also, since we are
surrounded by so great a cloud of witnesses, let
us lay aside every weight, and the sin which so
easily ensnares us, and let us run with endurance
the race that is set before us, 2 looking unto
Jesus, the author and finisher of our faith, who
for the joy that was set before Him endured the
cross, despising the shame, and has sat down at
the right hand of the throne of God.
Psalm 147:11 The LORD takes pleasure in those
who fear Him, In those who hope in His mercy.
James 2:13 For judgment is without mercy to the
one who has shown no mercy. Mercy triumphs
over judgment.
Luke 6:36 "Therefore be merciful, just as your
Father also is merciful.
Matthew 5:7 Blessed are the merciful, For they
shall obtain mercy.
2 Timothy 4:7 I have fought the good fight, I
have finished the race, I have kept the faith. 8
Finally, there is laid up for me the crown of
righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous
Judge, will give to me on that Day, and not to me
only but also to all who have loved His appearing.
Revelation 2:10 "Do not fear any of those things
which you are about to suffer. Indeed, the devil is
about to throw some of you into prison, that you
may be tested, and you will have tribulation ten
days. Be faithful until death, and I will give you
the crown of life.
